Another year and the lovely people of Kiribati are still keeping their heads above water. More people should visit. It looks absolute paradise.
So what has changed around Kiribati lately?
Well, they have a new President(since 2016), and he seems to be not quite so gloom and doom as the last one. They had a terrible ferry sinking a few months ago. One of their sportsmen qualified for the Olympic team in weight lifting (First one ever, whoo hoo!), and the Kiribati government are looking to fill their sports education position. Anyone interested? They are upgrading their airports to accommodate more visitors, and a new Bar, “The Emperor” is now open on Friday nights. Other than that, the fishing, snorkelling, and surfing are still pretty good, and life goes on as usual in these lovely pacific Islands.

Breathtaking insanity and a hubris that would make King Canute blush, ultimately defrauding Australian taxpayers of their hard-earned money.
Did anyone in the Australian government google “Pacific Island sea-level rise data” before pledging a billion to the UN? Silly question.
If someone in government had spent 10 minutes and 10 cents googling, they would have found no cause for concern at all.
Climate Change, Climate Disruption, Global Warming or Global Weirding is not about science or the environment. It never was.

Yes all you nervous warmers who think that man-made computer scenarios are proof positive of man-made global warming, it appears they’re not proof of anything except garbage in = garbage out. They’re models, fantasies, scenarios and certainly no real proof of anything but wishful thinking by some so-called climatologists.
Remember this the next time you hear about how some islands in the Pacific Ocean, like Nauru or the Maldives, are going to be flooded over by man-made CO2 caused sea-level rise. According to real data, it appears they aren’t and won’t.
