HOW To Keep Your Cool In The Face Of Global Warming? Data!

“There is nothing happening with Earths climate right now that isn’t well within the natural, observed, variability of the climate system. To claim anything more than that is simply playing the role of the alarmist…don’t be that guy!”

Canadian Climate Guy

You see it and hear it all the time. All the fake news outlets and climate alarmist blogs, and of course the government funded scientist screeching it from every rooftop: The Poles are melting and it’s all your fault, you horrible, filthy, disgusting humans with your SUVs and heated homes! Damn you all to hell!!…. or something like that.

Well, there’s no better solution to help keep you calm, cool and centred on the subject of climate change than cold, hard, data. My favourite!

Lets have a look at the melting North Pole for example. Here’s a link to the Government of Canada’s Ice Service website – http://iceweb1.cis.ec.gc.ca/IceGraph/page1.xhtml

Here are a couple of bar graphs I generated from the data for Northern Canadian Waters as an example. I started the graphs as far back as they had data for (1971) right up to current conditions.

ARCTIC Ice Hockey Stick

MOTHER NATURE, once again, not complying with the prognostications and computer models of the Climate Crisis Industry!

Science Matters

Update July 18, 2018

Arctic day 198 hockey

No one knows how long this divergence of surplus ice will persist, but for now 2018 Arctic ice extent resembles a hockey stick.  Presently the ice is 525k km2 above 11 year average (2007 to 2017 inclusive) and  ~1M km2 greater than 2007.  More detailed report from July 14 below.

ims1952007to2018

In June 2018, Arctic ice extent held up against previous years despite the Pacific basins of Bering and Okhotsk being ice-free.  The Arctic core is showing little change, perhaps due to increased thickness (volume) as reported by DMI.

The image above shows ice extents on day 195 (July 14) for years 2007, 2012, 2017 and 2018. Note this year ice is strong on both Russian and N. American sides.  Beaufort Sea and Canadian Archipelago are solid. E. Siberian and Chukchi Seas are also solid, despite early melting in Bering Sea.  Hudson and Baffin bays still have…

3 Reasons The Left Hates Scott Pruitt

“AND no, he doesn’t believe we should be creating useless regulations that eliminate jobs and make families pay more for energy just so Al Gore and most of Hollywood can feel good about themselves.”

Spot-on Genevieve.

PA Pundits - International

By Genevieve Wood ~

You know why they are going after Environmental Protection Agency secretary Scott Pruitt?

I can give you at least three reasons.

No. 1: He has led the Trump administration’s efforts to dismantle President Barack Obama’s expensive and ineffective climate legacy piece by piece.

From the Clean Power Plan, which was all about Obama’s climate agenda and which had nothing to do with creating clean air (we already have laws about that), to the Waters of the United States regulation, which could turn a puddle in your front yard into environmentally-protected swamp land—Pruitt has been rolling back many of the regulations put in place by Obama’s overzealous, power-grabbing, and arguably unconstitutional EPA.

No. 2: They also don’t like the fact that just this week Pruitt’s team at the EPA revised a mandate on fuel standards that will make new cars significantly cheaper—maybe as much as $7,000 cheaper.

New Danish Paper Wrecks CO2 Theory Of Global Warming

NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

By Paul Homewood

h/t No Tricks Zone

An important new paper from Frank Lansner and Jens Pedersen:

Temperature data 1900–2010 from meteorological stations across the world have been analyzed and it has been found that all land areas generally have two different valid temperature trends. Coastal stations and hill stations facing ocean winds are normally more warm-trended than the valley stations that are sheltered from dominant oceans winds.

Thus, we found that in any area with variation in the topography, we can divide the stations into the more warm trended ocean air-affected stations, and the more cold-trended ocean air-sheltered stations. We find that the distinction between ocean air-affected and ocean air-sheltered stations can be used to identify the influence of the oceans on land surface. We can then use this knowledge as a tool to better study climate variability on the land surface without the moderating effects of the ocean.

Pruitt to end EPA’s use of secret science to justify regulations

Common sense injected back into ‘science’. Fancy that…

Tallbloke's Talkshop

Surely a step in the right direction. The public is entitled to something better than smoke and mirrors when it comes to the use of science – or alleged science – to determine national policy. But the aim of objectivity is a tough one.
H/T The GWPF

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt will soon end his agency’s use of “secret science” to craft regulations, reports Michael Bastasch.

“We need to make sure their data and methodology are published as part of the record,” Pruitt said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Otherwise, it’s not transparent. It’s not objectively measured, and that’s important.”

CLIMATISM is a self-funded, one-man operation that has been running on fossil-fuel vapours and borrowed time since 2014.

LIKE most climate ‘sceptical’ outfits, success of message is reliant on a lot of passion and private support. After all, that cheque from “Big Oil” never arrived in the mail, much to the dismay of the climate cult who are convinced that the combined success of our individual efforts in fighting the “Climate Crisis Industry” must come down to funding from those “Koch Bros.” or “Exxon-Mobil”. Trust me, it doesn’t!

SCEPTICS are not funded or subsidised by BIG government, unlike BIG green whose associated NGO’s and multinational green mega-corporations are funded to the tune of BILLIONS annually via subsidies, tax incentives, green loans and grants. Read the rest of this entry »

OH Noes! Increased Carbon Dioxide Making More Flowers In Tropical Forests

“PLANTS convert atmospheric carbon dioxide into energy in the form of sugars, which they can use to fuel any number of vital life processes. As more carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere, plants have an opportunity to produce a bounty of new energy.”

SHOCK HORROR!! Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and warmth are what eco-systems require to flourish 😱

Watts Up With That?

From FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY and the “but wait, all climate change must be bad!” department.

Climate change linked to more flowery forests, FSU study shows

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — New research from a Florida State University scientist has revealed a surprising relationship between surging atmospheric carbon dioxide and flower blooms in a remote tropical forest.

FSU researchers studying the rich tropical forests of Panama’s Barro Colorado Island found that climbing rates of carbon dioxide have set the stage for a multidecade increase in overall flower production.

The findings were outlined in a paper published in the journal Global Change Biology

“It’s really remarkable,” said Assistant Professor of Geography Stephanie Pau, who led the study. “Over the past several decades, we’ve seen temperatures warming and carbon dioxide increasing, and our study found that this tropical forest has responded to that increase by producing more flowers.”

Pau’s findings suggest that tropical forests, which…
