Renewables Battery ‘Boom’: Exploding Mega-Storage System Generates Fireball & Toxic Lithium Plume in Belgium

STOP THESE THINGS
As soon as ‘Joe Public’ worked out that the idea of running on sunshine and breezes was so much childish nonsense, renewables rent-seekers started peddling an even greater myth: that mega-batteries would store ‘free and abundant’ wind and solar power, whenever the sun was up and the wind was blowing (just right).
Then, the myth continues, at absolutely zero cost to power consumers, giant grid-scale batteries would lovingly release groovy ‘green’ power as and when businesses and households needed it.
The zealot’s argument runs that – if only fossil fuel junkies and evil climate deniers would get out of the way – a few million mega-batteries would allow power consumers, hungry for ‘green’ virtue, to finally plug in and turn on to the ‘fuels of the future’.
So much for the hype.

New York Times Article Conclusively Proves That Climate Change “Crisis” is 100% Politics!

The next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.”

Protesters Jeer as Trump Team Promotes Coal at U.N. Climate Talks
By Lisa Friedman and Brad Plumer
Nov. 13, 2017BONN, Germany — The Trump administration made its debut at a United Nations conference on climate change on Monday by giving a full-throated defense of fossil fuels and nuclear energy as answers to driving down global greenhouse gas emissions.
The forum — the only official appearance by the United States delegation during the annual two-week climate gathering of nearly 200 nations — illustrated how sharply the administration’s views are at odds with those of many key participants in the climate negotiations.
George D. Banks, special adviser to President Trump on international energy issues, led a panel with top American energy executives. “Without question, fossil fuels will continue to be used, and we would argue that it’s in the global interest to make sure when…

Wind Power Subsidy Cuts Kill Thousands of Green Jobs: Siemens Sacks 6,000 Workers
Posted: November 18, 2017 Filed under: BIG Government, Energiewende, Energy Poverty, Failed Green Schemes, Green Energy, Renewables, Unreliables, Wind Farms | Tags: Climate Change Scam, Energiewende, Energy Poverty, Fuel Poverty, Germany, Global Warming Scam, Green Energy Failure, green jobs, Kill Jobs, unreliables, wind energy scam, wind power Leave a comment“One justification put up by the wind industry for the social and economic chaos caused by spiralling power costs was the claim that investment in wind power would create a “new” economy with millions of groovy “green” jobs.
True it was that Germany saw an increase in renewables related employment – the bulk of it in the development and manufacture of solar panels – but all of it was built on a raft of taxpayer and power consumer subsidies: it was – therefore – unsustainable.
Any job that relies on a subsidy results in a loss of employment elsewhere in the economy. In Germany, the subsidies for “green” jobs are paid for in rocketing power prices, which impacts on the profitability and competitiveness of all businesses and industries.” – STT August 2014
THE writings been on the wall for sometime now. Green central planning like economic planning of failed socialist regimes gone by is doomed for failure. Market distorting policies to pick winners only works until the money runs out. And err..the (public’s) money ran out a while back.
STOP THESE THINGS
The wind industry is little more than the most recent and elaborate effort to fleece gullible investors, in a list that dates back to “corporate investment classics”, like the South-Sea Bubble and Dutch tulip mania.
In the wind industry, the scam is all about pitching bogus projected returns (based on overblown wind “forecasts”) (see our posts here and here and here and here); claiming that wind turbines will run for 25 years, without the need for so much as an oil change (see our posts here and here and here); and telling investors that massive government mandated subsidy schemes will outlast religion (see our posts here and here and here).
Now that the subsidies are drying up across Europe, solar panel and wind turbine makers are feeling the pinch, with tens of thousands of those groovy ‘green’ jobs already gone, or about to face the axe.

China’s Thermal Power Output Rising By 6.3% So Far This Year
Posted: November 18, 2017 Filed under: Fact Check, Failed Green Schemes, Fossil Fuels, Unreliables | Tags: China, Energy, Fossil Fuels, unreliables Leave a commentONE of my favourite pieces of climate propaganda trotted out by the climate crisis industry is the coordinated line, “China, leading the world in renewable energy penetration…rest of the world will be left behind blah blah..”
UNRELIABLES are certainly a “bit-player” in China at best. I suspect there’s more green-washing than green-energy going on in the red state.
NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT
By Paul Homewood
Further to the recent Global Carbon Project report, which revealed that CO2 emissions were on the rise again in China this year, it is worth looking at what the China Energy Portal has to say. Although they are an independent outfit, they say that all of their data comes from governmental websites, and I have found them reliable in the past.
Below is their YTD summary of electricity generation, showing how thermal has dominated the increase in total generation. Wind and solar barely figure at all.
[Note graph is Q3 2017 year to date versus Q3 2016 year to date. *Thermal includes coal, gas, oil, and biomass]
https://chinaenergyportal.org/en/2017-q3-electricity-and-energy-statistics/
Based on these increases, we can project the outturn numbers for 2017 as a whole. Wind and solar would increase their contribution from 5.1% to 5.9% of the electricity mix.
While China’s demand for electricity continues to rise at…
