WHERE’s the outrage from “environmentalists” and animal groups like PETA or the RSPCA? (Crickets)
TIME we divert some or ALL of the taxpayer billions poured into useless, symbolic, feel-good energy (wind and solar) into Hydrogen Fusion R&D – genuine “clean, green, efficient, reliable, sustainable” energy.
Environmentalists of the kind lovingly called ‘tree huggers’ (rather than wind turbine worshippers) are finally cottoning on to the fact that the wind industry is anything but the ‘clean, green’ energy source its proponents claim it to be.
In this piece, Emily Wade makes her indignation palpable; it’s almost as if she’s been played for a dupe.
In that regard, Emily can be forgiven. The wind industry has worked overtime to overstate its green credentials and bury anything to the contrary.
Real eco-warriors, like Emily, aren’t so concerned about the interment of inconvenient facts by wind industry spruikers, they’re furious at the fact that what the wind industry is actually burying tens of millions of tons of toxic waste, among a list of other environmental sins.

Americans have suffered needless climate-related panic for the past 40 years—not realizing that, since 1850, our newspapers have given us a climate scare about every 25 years. And none of them was valid.
Fortunately, climate science is now good enough to predict the key abrupt climate cycles that Mother Nature visits upon earth through the millennia. After the cold of the Maunder Sunspot Minimum at 1715, for example, earth’s temperature warmed 0.3 degrees in less than 25 years. Then two centuries later, the temperatures dropped equally swiftly into the cold of the Dalton Minimum. These abrupt shifts occurred over decades rather than centuries. Some shifts have been favorable, an equal number were unfavorable – and none involved carbon dioxide.

Warm periods in the 20th century are not unprecedented during the last 2,000 years

“however, temperatures recorded in the 20th century may not be unprecedented in the last 2000 years, as reconstruction showed records for the period from 981 to 1100, and again from 1201 to 1270…”
“The general characteristics of the impacts of climatic change historically were negative in the cold periods and positive in the warm periods. For example, 25 of the 31 most prosperous periods in imperial China during the past 2000 years occurred during periods of warmth or warming.”
The study is published in Advances in Atmospheric Sciences.

A great deal of evidence relating to ancient climate variation is preserved in proxy data such as tree rings, lake sediments, ice cores, stalagmites, corals and historical documents, and these sources carry great significance in evaluating the 20th century warming in the context of the last two millennia.
Prof. Quansheng Ge and his group from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, collected a large number of proxies and reconstructed a 2000-year temperature series in China with a 10-year resolution, enabling them to quantitatively reveal the characteristics of temperature change in China over a common era.
