Wildfires Were Much Worse In The Past

As CO2 has increased, wildfire acreage in the US has dramatically decreased.
Obama, the UN and the global warming alarmist media fail to tell you this because it completely wrecks their politically motivated climate change agenda.

What other inconvenient climate facts do they hide from you to protect their reputations and the climate con in general?

NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

By Paul Homewood

There was a bit of interesting testimony at the Senate Sub-Committee on Green Jobs and the New Economy in June. Professor David South, one of the top US experts on forestry, trashes claims that AGW is making wildfires worse.

Testimony of David B. South

Human Activity, more so than Climate Change, Affects the Number and Size of Wildfires

I am David B. South, Emeritus Professor of Forestry, Auburn University. In 1999 I was awarded
the Society of American Foresters’ Barrington Moore Award for research in the area of
biological science and the following year I was selected as Auburn University’s “Distinguished
Graduate Lecturer.” In 1993 I received a Fulbright award to conduct tree seedling research at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and in 2002 I was a Canterbury Fellow…

NASA’s Quest To Erase The Warm 1930′s

Read this to see how NASA is corrupting science and defrauding you the taxpayer.

Climatism

It doesn’t matter what is true,
it only matters what people believe is true
.”
– Paul Watson,
co-founder of Greenpeace

The data doesn’t matter. We’re not basing our recommendations
on the data. We’re basing them on the climate models
.”
– Prof. Chris Folland,
Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research

We’ve got to ride this global warming issue.
Even if the theory of global warming is wrong,
we will be doing the right thing in terms of
economic and environmental policy.

– Timothy Wirth,
President of the UN Foundation

Re-pressed via Real Science :

Warm periods during the past, like the MWP and the 1930′s completely wreck the global warming narrative – so NASA puts a lot of effort into erasing the 1930′s, while Mann takes down the MWP. The work NASA is doing to corrupt the Vestmannaeyja, Iceland…

Man made CO2-Induced Global Warming Update : RECORD COLD REPORTED IN GREENLAND

RECORD COLD REPORTED IN GREENLAND
Via GWPF
Date: 06/08/16 Danish Meteorological Institute

Last month’s weather observations in Greenland established not just one but two new records according to senior climatologist John Cappelen.

“The total precipitation received in Tasiilaq was only 0.1 mm in July. This has never happened since we have taken measurements up there – and we have made them there since 1898,” said the climatologist.

“And although it has been generally warm in Greenland in the summer – particularly on the East Coast – the second record was actually a cold record.”

On August 1, the Danish Meteorological Institute’s measuring station registered an appalling -30.7 ° C at the ice cap’s summit.

“This is the lowest temperature for July we have from this station,” said John Cappelen.

The previous record was -27.7 ° C on 30 July 1992.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews Sanctions Mass Brolga Slaughter by Approving Dundonnell Wind Farm

Green hypocrisy update…

STOP THESE THINGS

Daniel Andrews’ wind farm plan will add to bird deaths
Herald Sun
Terry McCrann
25 July 2016

LAST week Premier Daniel Andrews made a very big deal of launching a new wind farm near Dundonnell in Victoria’s southwest.

It was going to create 300 direct (and, ahem, indirect) jobs in construction and a massive — well, all of — “up to” 16 jobs when operational. Best of all, it was going to generate enough electricity to “power” 140,000 homes.

That is, of course, when the wind is blowing. For as South Australians have been — very expensively — discovering of recent months, when the wind don’t blow the power don’t flow.

But when the opposite happens, when the wind does blow, the turbines are not just generating power, they are slaughtering birds.

What the Premier “forgot” to mention last week, is that the Dundonnell wind farm has not yet received…

NSIDC on Arctic Sea Ice: ‘A new record low September ice extent now appears to be unlikely.”

Climate alarmist dud prediction update #1,254,788…

Watts Up With That?

From the National Snow and Ice Data Center.

A cool and stormy Arctic in July

An extensive area of lower than average temperatures in the Central Arctic and the Siberian coast, attended by persistent low pressure systems in the same region, led to slightly slower than average sea ice decline through the month. The stormy pattern contributed to a dispersed and ragged western Arctic ice pack for July, with several polynyas beginning to form late in the month. A new record low September ice extent now appears to be unlikely.

Overview of conditions

Figure 1. Arctic sea ice extent for July 2016 was 8.13 million square kilometers (3.14 million square miles). The magenta line shows the 1981 to 2010 median extent for that month. Sporting News: “Buzzkill” Global Warming Message Had No Place at Rio Olympics

Ironic that the opening of the Olympics had a political segment on climate change when the place is so polluted and filthy.

Welcome to the world of socialism.

Watts Up With That?

Global Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Global atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations from Oct. 1 through Nov. 11, as recorded by NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2. Carbon dioxide concentrations are highest above northern Australia, southern Africa and eastern Brazil. Preliminary analysis of the African data shows the high levels there are largely driven by the burning of savannas and forests. Elevated carbon dioxide can also be seen above industrialized Northern Hemisphere regions in China, Europe and North America. Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech Global Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide

Guest essay by Eric Worrall

Sporting News has published a scathing critique of Brazil’s attempt to prop up its rather shaky green credentials by wedging a “buzzkill” climate message into their Olympic opening ceremony.

Global warming message had no place at Rio Olympics’ opening ceremony

The organizers of the Opening Ceremony of Rio Olympics 2016 should give themselves a medal for hypocrisy.

Their preachy warnings about global warming brought a feel-good…

The Deadliest U.S. Natural Hazard: Extreme Cold

Watts Up With That?

http://blog.kievukraine.info/uploaded_images/3195-734559.jpgThere’s a new essay from Indur Goklany in response to a recent Reuters news article.

Yesterday Reuters reported on a study which claimed that heat is the deadliest form of natural hazard for the United States. However, this result is based on questionable data.  The study used results for mortality from extreme heat and cold that can be traced to the National Climatic Data Center. But these data are substantially different from mortality data from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) based on the Compressed Mortality File for the United States. The latter uses death certificate records, which provide the cause of each recorded death (based on medical opinion). It is reasonable to believe that regarding the cause of death, particularly for extreme cold and heat, medical opinion as captured in death certificate records is more reliable than determinations made by the meteorologists in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s NCDC (even if they have Ph.Ds.).
