Five questions to the new Chairman of the IPCC

Watts Up With That?
Newly appointed IPCC Chairman Hoesung Lee
by Drieu Godefridi
Mr. Chairman,
Firstly, I’d like to congratulate you on your appointment as the head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). If I may, please allow me to take this opportunity to submit to you five questions on the nature of your organisation, which terms itself a “scientific body” (ipcc.org):
1. The last word, in the IPCC reports, belongs to the General Assembly (“Principles Governing IPCC Work”, article 11).
Is it true that the vast majority of the people in this assembly are not scientists, but civil servants and representatives of the governments, NGOs, etc. without any scientific credentials required?
2. The IPCC has three aims: to summarise climate science, to evaluate the negative impact, for mankind, of climate change, and to set standards to curb said negative impact.
Is it correct that two of these objectives require…

Is Aussie PM Turnbull quietly dismantling Abbott’s Climate Legacy?
Posted: October 21, 2015 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentAustralian’s voted overwhelmingly for sceptical climate policies when Tony Abbott was elected as Australia’s PM.
Malcolm Turnbull agreed not to water down any of Abbott’s policies as a trade for taking over leadership.
Turnbull is a staunch global warmist and will view all broken climate promises as virtuous and in the interests of the planet. (Gaia and the UN)

The new Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull may be quietly dismantling former Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s climate initiatives. The latest move is the cancellation of an offer to fund Bjørn Lomborg’s Climate Consensus Centre.
According to the Australian ABC;
The Federal Government says it has withdrawn a $4 million offer to help establish a climate change research centre headed by Bjorn Lomborg.
Education Minister Simon Birmingham has told a Senate estimates hearing the proposal was quietly dropped in the week when Malcolm Turnbull became Prime Minister.
“Certainly, a specific incentive from the Government for such an institute is no longer available,” Senator Birmingham said.

Atlantic Hurricanes Down 80% Since Katrina
Posted: October 21, 2015 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentClimate Change zealots are caught in a dilemma with the record low landfall hurricane phenomenon.
On one hand, they could cite ‘global warming’ for causing a reduced temperature gradient between Arctic and the Tropics.
However, if they cite any recent ‘global warming’ as potentially minimising the temperature gradient, they then risk wrecking their prized fear campaign of “extreme weather” events caused by global warming!

In 2005, scientists declared the active hurricane season to be the “new normal.” As always, they had no idea what they were talking about. Atlantic hurricanes are down 80% since 2005

Hottest year ever? Giant clam reveals Middle Ages were warmer than today
Posted: October 21, 2015 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentAlarmist claims of the “hottest year ever” do nothing to advance science, rather, serve as a marketing tool and propaganda to push the ‘global warming’ agenda, an agenda that’s been in hiatus for the past 18 years! (Hence the name-change from ‘global warming’ to ‘climate change’)
Watts Up With That?
While government science and media begin the ramp-up to claim 2014 as the “hottest year ever” China’s Sea’s biggest bivalve shows that the Middle Ages were warmer than today, when Carbon Dioxide was lower.
From the Chinese Academy of Sciences:
Two recent papers, one is in Earth-Science Reviews and the other is in Chinese Science Bulletin, have studied key chemical contents in micro-drilled giant clams shells and coral samples to demonstrate that in the South China Sea the warm period of the Middle Ages was warmer than the present.
The scientists examined surveys of the ratio of strontium to calcium content and heavy oxygen isotopes, both are sensitive recorders of sea surface temperatures past and present. The aragonite bicarbonate of the Tridacna gigas clam-shell is so fine-grained that daily growth-lines are exposed by micro-drilling with an exceptionally fine drill-bit, allowing an exceptionally detailed time-series of sea-temperature changes…

CIA 1974 National Security Threat : Global Cooling/Excess Arctic Ice Causing Extreme Weather
Posted: October 21, 2015 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentSame threats different problem.
Back then “extreme weather” and “national security” threat was due to cooling, not warming. But current ‘global warming’ alarmists, and even NASA’s GISStemp data set, deny the existence of any global cooling from 1940-1978.
Orwell would be proud of our current crop of history revisionists.
Real Science
In 1974, global cooling and excess Arctic ice caused extreme weather and were a national security threat.
By contrast, the intelligence and climate science communities are much more intelligent now. They now know that global warming and missing Arctic cause extreme weather and are a national security threat.

Ten Years Of Arctic Cooling, Eight years Of Obama Lies
Posted: October 21, 2015 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentReal Science
Last month, President Obama made these remarks
the Arctic is the leading edge of climate change — our leading indicator of what the entire planet faces. Arctic temperatures are rising about twice as fast as the global average.
The pace of melting is only getting faster. It’s now twice what it was between 1950 and 2000 — twice as fast as it was just a little over a decade ago.
if we do nothing, temperatures in Alaska are projected to rise between six and 12 degrees by the end of the century
Satellites show that the Arctic has been cooling for the past decade, particularly fast since 2010.
Sea ice extent is the highest it has been since 1995.

Alaska has cooled 0.1 degrees since 1977.
