The White House says that the Midwest climate is getting hotter and more extreme, and that it is the fault of the productive people who live there.

None of the White House claims are correct. Before data tampering, temperatures there have not changed.
Extreme heat in the Midwest is much less common than it used to be.
Heavy rainfalls are about as common now as the were 120 years ago.
The White House claims that 95 degree days in the Midwest will sharply increase.
The reality is that 95 degree days occur only one third as often as they did 120 years ago.
The White House claims that ice cover is decreasing on the Great Lakes.
In fact, the last two winters have had record Great Lakes ice, and there is no long-term trend.
