So the Arctic has had its shortest melt season on record, despite PDO and AMO flipping into “warm” phases, and the big El Niño that is in play!
Looks like another ‘global warming’ canary-in-the-coal-mine just got gassed. Ouch.
There may still be a down-blip in the extent graph, due to storms tearing at the edges of the arctic ice-pack in places where the bottom melt is occurring, however it isn’t worth the hoop-la it might possibly generate. The melt season is to all extents and purposes over.
The simple fact of the matter is that those who root for evidence the Poles are melting, and that a “Death Spiral” exists, had everything going for them this past summer. Both the PDO and AMO spiked into “warm” phases, and a big El Nino occurred. Despite this assistance, they couldn’t come close to the low ice extents of 2007 and 2012. To call this summers low extent, (and it was definitely low), a “spiral” is to turn a spiral into a slinky having a bad hair day.
One of the biggest problems with the Death Spiral is clearly shown by…

Obama’s climate change lies, in order to advance his climate change agenda, forensicslly examined…
What a disgraceful 44th president he has been, full of lies and deceit, as graphically exposed here.
Remember that name “Gavin Schmidt” – NASA’s current climate criminal in chief.
Back when he still pretended to be a legitimate scientist, Gavin Schmidt reported that Antarctica was rapidly cooling – during a period of rapid CO2 rise.
Shindell, D.T., and G.A. Schmidt 2004. Southern Hemisphere climate response to ozone changes and greenhouse gas increases. Geophys. Res. Lett. 31, L18209, doi:10.1029/2004GL020724.
While most of the Earth warmed rapidly during recent decades, surface temperatures decreased significantly over most of Antarctica.
NASA maps reflected this cooling.
But this cooling wrecked their global warming theory (poles were supposed to burn up) so NASA simply changed the data in 2009 – and Nature Magazine happily assisted their fraud.
NASA’s temperature fraud enables further fraud like Heidi Cullen claiming that all of the ice in Antarctica is going to melt.
Temperatures in Antarctica would have to warm up 120 degrees to start melting.

“The World Bank and the US are currently refusing to fund coal-fired power plants around the world … rich people refusing cheap energy to poor people, on my planet that is disgusting and criminal behavior.”
Guest Post by Willis Eschenbach
Lesotho (pronounced “Leh – soo – too”), is a mountain fortress of a country, totally surrounded by South Africa. The people there, the Basotho (pronounced “Bah – soo – too), are tough as nails, and you’d have to be. It’s high desert country, cold in the winter, not much water. The Basotho are fiercely independent.

“Under My Plan … Electricity Rates Will Necessarily Skyrocket” – Barack Obama
Jerry Brown, photo author Neon Tommy, source Wikimedia
Democrats in California seem to be finally waking up to the fact that green energy disproportionately hurts poor people.
According to the Wall Street Journal;
The environmental lobby has tried to turn climate change into a social justice issue even though its anticarbon policies disproportionately harm the poor. Honest Democrats are starting to admit this, as we saw in this week’s stunning revolt in the California legislature.
Jerry Brown doesn’t have much to show for his second turn in Sacramento, and of late he has focused his legacy attention on reducing carbon emissions. The Governor hailed California as a model of green virtue at the Vatican this summer and had hoped to flaunt sweeping new anticarbon regulations at the U.N’s climate-change summit in Paris this year.
But now his party has mutinied. Democrats hold near supermajorities in both legislative chambers with 52…

“The Alaska Climate Research Center reports almost no evidence of warming trends in Alaska since 1977.”
By Betsy McCaughey, PhD ~
President Obama hiked to Exit Glacier in Alaska last week, with photographers in tow, to send the world a message: The glacier is melting.
Obama blames it on the increasing use of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas, which he wants to restrict not only in the United States but worldwide. The photo op was designed to build support for an international climate agreement he’s pushing hard to sell, so far with little success.
Trouble is, the president needs to get his facts straight. Exit Glacier has been shrinking for 200 years – since 1815 – long before widespread industrialization and automobiles. As the president ended his trip, he sounded the alarm again: “This state’s climate is changing before our eyes.”
News flash, Mr. President: Alaska has been buffeted by cyclical swings in climate for thousands of years. That’s true for…
