Katherine Hayhoe believes that Lubbock is getting hotter and drier, at an unprecedented rate. She warns Texans that they are going to burn up.
In fact, Lubbock temperatures have been falling since 1998, with the last two years cooler than normal. The temperature graph indicates that Lubbock is experiencing a cyclical decline in temperature.
Hot days used to be much more common, and the frequency of hot days has plummeted since 1998 – with the exception of a very hot summer in 2011.
Winter/early spring precipitation has been increasing, with six of the ten wettest years occurring since 1997.
Katherine Hayhoe gets paid big bucks to lie about the climate in Texas. She really shouldn’t do that.
