Translation :
There has been a huge increase in ice this year, but our funders will be angry if we don’t say something negative. We decided that a double negative was the right thing say, because it doesn’t sound like a positive.
We had to get this unusually timed press report out quickly, because much of that low concentration ice will be 100% concentration in a few days – and then we wouldn’t have anything negative to say.
